- unBox's BayAreaCommunity.org (BAC) resource map has partnered with the San Jose Mayor's Office of Technology Innovation, to support their creation of a reliable, user-friendly mental health resource website to help connect underserved San Jose youth with local providers.
- BAC has also partnered with civic technology organization DataKind, to receive long-term strategic data advising and further leverage our data for impact.

What We're Reading:
- As of March 9, the public charge rule will no longer apply to the use of Medicaid (except for Medicaid for long-term institutionalization), public housing, or SNAP! In a recent Urban Institute study, 13% of immigrant households reported not accessing government aid due to fears that it would jeopardize their legal status. Now, in the words of New York Attorney General Letitia James, "Quite simply, today, fewer children will go hungry and more families will get the medical care they desperately need."
- The American Rescue Plan invests $25 million in modernizing, expanding, and improving SNAP online purchasing! The plan also extends the 15% SNAP benefit increase to September 30, extends P-EBT, invests $880 million in WIC, and provides additional funding for senior nutrition, food assistance in the US territories and in rural areas, food banks, food supply chain workers' PPE, food processing infrastructure, and livestock industry monitoring. The USDA also allocates $4 billion in debt relief for disadvantaged farmers, and $1.01 billion to create a USDA racial equity commission to help represent and advocate for farmers of color.
- USDA extends universal school meals (available to all children, regardless of income!) through the summer, expanded from June 30 to September 30, 2021.
