unBox is going on Spring Recess!

unBox celebrated its 2 year anniversary this month! To celebrate, and to give our team members space to reflect and recharge, we are going on Spring Recess from May 7 to mid-June. We cannot wait to jump back in this summer with you all!

After break, what's the next chapter for unBox? Advocating for a better, more sustainable, just, nutritious, and equitable 2023 Farm Bill! Join us this summer as we advocate, activate, research, and organize to influence one of the most important pieces of US food policy.

"But wait!"

"Where will I get my food policy news when the unBox newsletter goes on Spring Recess?"

Okay, no one is saying that because you all get great food news. But, we wanted to share some of our fave sources for news, research updates, events, and more, to check out while we're on break:

We mapped which California regions do and do not have access to grocery delivery using SNAP in 2020 and 2021. We uncovered severe access gaps for rural communities, revealing urgently-needed SNAP online program and policy improvements needed to ensure all shoppers, especially those in rural areas, have accessible, affordable, safe, nutritious access to healthy food.
